The Black Tie Affair
we went to the ASC awards last night. 1600 cinematographers and friends and family. we were at table 138. Ron howard and family were at table 10.
i bought 3 dresses and went with the boring black one. When i got there i was very glad i did. Nice and black and drawing zero attention. As everyone knows buying modest formal is a big pain so there was quite a bit of drama leading up to it. I didn't know i was going until friday so i had to get everything in one day. I was very glad, however, that i didn't just wear something lame in my closet. it was worth the effort.
Doug looked like a rock star. What a handsome guy. We got him a new black suit and the cut and fit were awesome.
Everything was really fun. WE sat at the panavision table andi saw Charlize Theron coming out of a stall in the bathroom. Maybe some day we'll go back when Doug is nominated for something.

You are hot stuff! Doug doesn't look too bad himself :) Can't wait to hear the story about the dress. Was that the Shade one? Where did you find it? And it looks like something you'll wear forever ---- Yay! Totally worth the effort and what a fun evening. Sooooo L.A.

Both look fantastic, and is it me or does Doug look exactly like Owen in that picture with just your faces.
